A graduate of Clemson University, Whitney joined the Aiken Young Professionals in 2011 as a way to make great business contacts here in town. "I always wanted to be a part of a business networking group, such as the Chamber of Commerce, but always thought that the Chamber seemed like a group for older business people, not necessarily the place for young professionals. Aiken Young Professionals is just the type of group I was looking to join, offering networking events such as golf outings, happy hours and charity events. It allows me the opportunity to be a part of a motivated, energetic group of young professional's that I can relate to." Whitney feels it's important for 20- and 30-somethings to develop a sense of responsibility for the place we live and work. "We are the future leaders that can help bring fresh, creative ideas and different perspectives on present issues." |
