A series of quarterly noon conferences are planned with guest speakers discussing current issues and financial challenges facing our local economy, business economics, as well as personal growth and leadership development. This event, where lunch will be served, is a benefit exclusively for members.

  • AYP’s 1st quarterly Lunch & Learn of 2010 was held in the Hunt Room at The Willcox Inn & Spa on Wednesday, March 24th Playing off all the equine events in Aiken in March, Larry Byers spoke about “Equine 101: How the Equine Industry Affects Aiken.”  Members gathered for great food in a unique professional atmosphere available at The Willcox. Larry is an avid horseman, one of Aiken’s best salesmen, and conveyed some interesting thoughts on the importance of the horse community to Aiken.

  • For our fourth quarter Lunch 'n Learn, Aiken Public Safety Officers spoke to members about how to Avoid the HEAT this Holiday Season in the Willcox Hunt Room.

  • Thanks to Woodside Plantation for hosting our first Lunch 'n Learn on April 2nd from 12pm - 1pm. Dr. Brian B. Parr, assistant professor in the Department of Exercise and Sports Science at USCA, presented "Get Your Beach Body Back!" He shared tips and plans about how to start an exercise program and get in shape for summer and beyond, as well as spoke on the value of starting a healthful lifestyle now through proper nutrition and appropriate exercise for lifelong health and wellness.
  • Thanks to Denise Jane Runion for her time in discussing 7-steps to better photography provided by a pro on Thursday, June 4, at noon during the AYP Lunch 'n Learn at USCA Convocation Center, VIP Room. Denise Jane Runion, photographer and owner of Denise Jane Portrait Design, Inc. shared tricks of the trade on how to take those alright pictures and make them into the most out of sight pictures you’re ever taken.
  • Houndslake Country Club
    Thanks to USCA Men's Golf Coach Mike Carlisle who spoke about "Motivating your Inner Champion" on September 10th, 2009 at The Willcox. Motivation is the driving force of our behavior, “it’s that internal energy” which helps us achieve our goals. Mr. Carlisle shared how motivation got him where he is now and how it has also moved his players to where they are.
